San Diego Beaches

One of the many things about San Diego that make it a glorious place to live or visit is it’s beaches.  Sandy beaches and wide palm tree lined boardwalks are typical of the beaches here.  Beautiful sunshine and moderate waves create a scenario that will have you believing you are on a teen beach movie set.

Mission Beach is nearly 2 miles of coastline.  It has sandy beaches, a boardwalk and the amusement park, Belmont Park.  It is only about 15 minutes from the airport and downtown San Diego.  more info

Pacific Beach is located about 25 minutes north of downtown San Diego and the airport.  It is known as the family beach during the day and at night, it is the party scene for our local universities college students. more info

Located 14 miles north from downtown San Diego, La Jolla is considered the prettiest of San Diego beaches. more info

Located in the San Diego Bay just accross from downtown, Coronado Beach is a beautiful, wide, 1.5 miles long sandy beach on Coronado Island. more info

Located 7 miles from downtown San Diego, Ocean Beach is a nearby beach city with a sandy beach, boardwalk and one of the longest concrete piers in the world. more info

Due to the high level of bacteria the beach is closed until a solution can be derived about the sewage spillage more info

Located just 30 minutes from downtown San Diego Del Mar Beach is a beautiful, sandy beach.  Del Mar itself is a beach city off of the famous coastal highway State 101. more info

Located just under 40 minutes from downtown San Diego, Carlsbad State Beach is the beach of choice for those trying to escape the crowds more info

Shelter Island Beach is located near downtown San Diego on the pennisula of Point Loma more info
